- **DIP CODE CONFIGURATION:** Open the old remote control after removing the battery cover. You will find a set of four “DIP” switches. Use a pen to adjust the switches on the new remote so that they replicate the arrangement of the old one. Install fresh batteries in the new remote, and it should function properly. If you own multiple ceiling fans, ensure that each one is set to a unique PIN code.
